International F230 - Santa Fe

By Karl Erk

This Santa Fe big rig is cruising in the middle of "Nowhere", New Mexico sometime in the 1950's. The model started as an Ertl 1948 Peterbilt with van trailer. The Ertl trailer was stripped with severals dips in Pinesol and then brake fluid, painted chrome silver, then decaled. The cab of the tractor was replaced with a Puget Sound Castings International Harvester 1960's M or FD cab. An exhast stack from Con-Cor and a horn from Athearn completed the rebuild. Decals were made by Karl and printed by Don Manlick. This set will be available soon as a commercial decal set.
